Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the blade root portion of a condensing steam turbine from eroding by spray water when spray water is ejected in a low pressure exhaust chamber having a spray water injection unit in the turbine.
CONSTITUTION: Exhaust flow in a low pressure exhaust chamber is divided into main exhaust flow F1 introduced directly into a condenser, vortex flow F2 into the blade root portion, and flow F3 introduced through cutout S formed at the end approaching the blade 7a of circular guide plate 20 provided at the downstream of final stage movable blade 7a into radially inner side of the plate 20 to reach the condenser while restricting the flow F2 by the plate 20. A spray water injection nozzle 17 is mounted at the side facing with the exhaust chamber side plate 5 and bearing cone 6 of the plate 20 to spray water toward the range 18a. The nozzle 17 is set at 120° or larger at its injection angle β so that the flow F2 may not wind water droplets even by considering the expansion 19a of the actual spraying range
