Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to introduce high-pressure and high-temperature steam from a boiler or the like into a condenser by reducing the pressure and temperature thereof previously with a combined device for reducing the steam pressure equipped with orifice discs in a bypass tube way and a device for reducing steam temperature by injecting cooling water jet.
CONSTITUTION: A bypass tube way 6 is connected for bypassing high-pressure and high-temperature steam generated in a steam generator into a main trunk 1 for a condenser. The bypass tube way 6 is equipped with a squeezing device 7 consisting of four pieces of orifice discs 81W84 arranged along a flowing direction at some intervals, while an annular water chamber 9 is formed around a periphery of an inlet portion for an expanding trunk 5 situated at the lower stream side of the last orifice disc 84. A nozzle 11 is formed obliquely on the inner wall 10 of the water chamber 9 and a cooling water jet is injected through the nozzle obliquely against the steam jet.
