Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a last stage moving blade from being erodded by spray water by a method wherein a spray nozzle is provided at a stationary part on the root side of the moving vane at a steam outlet of the last stage moving blade and the spray water is jetted turning to exhaust stream.
CONSTITUTION: The spray nozzle 11 through which the spray water 12 for cooling is jetted is provided to the exhaust stream at a stationary part on the root side of the moving blade on the steam outlet side of the last stage moving blade 6a of a low pressure turbine. When a circulating stream 2b is produced at a low load, the spray water 12 made foggy will cool the exhaust steam 2a, cutting across the circulating stream 2b.
