Abstract
PURPOSE: To keep the capacity of the condensor in the best condition by a method wherein the air cooling part of the condensor employed for a turbine power plant or the like is divided into a plurality of pressure chambers in a longitudinal direction thereof and a flow of steam in each pressure chamber is regulated with a control valve in accordance with a condensing capacity of each chamber.
CONSTITUTION: The pressure in the pressure chamber 28 at a side of a front water chamber 13 having a high steam condensing capacity is reduced while a pressure in a pressure chamber 28 at a side of a rear water chamber 15 is increased, and much amount of steam is flowed to the front water chamber 13. According to such arrangement, a pressure gradient is provided in each pressure chamber 28 from the front water chamber 13 toward the rear water chamber 15. According to this method, an amount of steam flowing through a condensing section 16 becomes to meet the condensing capacity of each pressure chamber 28 and the steam flowed into each chamber 28 may be condensed perfectly. Thus, the condensing capacity of the condensor may be kept in the best condition at all times by a method wherein an opening degree of a flow control valve 30 is regulated in accordance with the operating condition of the condensor.
