Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify the structure of a spray type steam condenser by constituting same such that cooling water is atomized by dynamic pressure of steam which is to be condensed and the steam is condensed into water by the atomized cooling water in order to omit the installation of a pressure up device such as a pump and a cooling water atomization device in a conduit line.
CONSTITUTION: Cooling water flowed into a steam condenser body 10 through a cooling water inlet pipe 27 is supplied to delivery cabins 14 through a supply pipe 21 and a branch pipe 28 and then spouted from slits 16, 20. The spouting pressure is sufficient for the water to be spouted into a high speed steam flow so that there is no need to additionally provide a separate pump device to the steam condenser to raise the pressure of cooling water. On the other hand, exhaust gas having flowed in from a turbine and so on through a steam inlet port seat 11 is accelerated while it passes passages each formed to extend between the adjacent delivery cabins 14 so that it smashes to atomize a film of cooling water spouted out from the sits 16, 20 by its own kinetic energy thereby effecting heat exchange through direct contact thereof with the cooling water to be condensed into water.
