Abstract

PURPOSE: To effect highly efficient and economic deairization (abstracting air) of feed water by spouting preheated feed water from a nozzle, constructed so as to produce air bubbles, into a deairizing chamber in which inside pressure is below a saturated pressure against a temperature of the feed water.
CONSTITUTION: Feed water, coming from a conduit 101 communicating with a condenser 70 for a steam turbine 60 and a conduit 106 for suplemental feed water, is heated in a low-pressure feed water heater 80 and a heat exchanger 10, subsequently, is spouted through a feed water nozzle 30 into a deairizing chamber 20 in which inside pressure is below a saturated pressure against a temperature of the feed water in a conduit 103. In this case, the inner portion of the nozzle 30 is constructed such that sudden decrease of pressure is caused locally in the nozzle 3 due to a variation of sectional area of the fluid and air bubbles are induced in that portion. Therefore, mixed stream of the air bubbles and the feed water flows in the feed water nozzle 30 and is spouted from the tip of the nozzle. Accordingly, stream of vapor accompanied with abstracted air is separated from the feed water due to effects of difusion of gas into air bubbles and stiring of the feed water by the bubbles.
