Abstract

PURPOSE: To recover waste heat from a waste heat recovery boiler responding to the boiler's steam generation rate changes brought about operating fluctuations of a production plant by providing a pressure regulating valve, a governer valve, a governer, a pressure controller, a steam pressure detector, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The steam from a waste heat boiler 1 is supplied to a process steam supply system through a pressure regulating valve 3 and a temperature reduction device 10, and to a governer valve 6 and a steam turbine 4. A pressure controller 8, connected to a steam pressure detector 9, controls a governer 7 and a pressure regulating valve 3 so that steam under constant pressure may be supplied to a steam turbine 4, thereby recovering sufficient waste heat from a waste heat recovery boiler responding to operating fluctuations of the boiler's steam generation rate.
