Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the erosion of turbine blades, especially, the last stage blade of a steam turbine in a combined-cycle plant by transitionally lowering the pressure before the governing valve of the turbine according to the humidity to control the rise of the humidity.
CONSTITUTION: A combined-cycle plant comprises a gas turbine 2 driving the first generator 1, a waste heat boiler 4 leading exhaust gas 3 from the turbine 2 to generate steam, and a steam turbine 6 driving the second generator 5 using the steam from the boiler 4. To this, an erosion preventing apparatus is added as shown by broken lines. The apparatus has a pressure bias signal generator 100 that receives a signal 26 of the pressure before a governing valve and a signal of the pressure in a condenser which are values obtained by pressure detectors 25 and 40 respectively, a main steam temperature signal 42 by a temperature detector 39, and the main steam flow rate 44 by a flow detector 41. The output 45 from the pressure bias signal generator is reverse-biased to a subtracter 28 to control the regulating valve 22 so that the erosion of the turbine blades is prevented.
