Abstract

A vehicle headlamp 13 is adjustably mounted on a support member 11 by means including a nut 24 axially but not rotatably movable relative to the support member, a first screw 16 with a relatively fine thread engaged with the nut and rotatably secured to the headlamp, and a second screw 26 with a relatively coarse thread rotatably movable relative to the support member, the nut having a leg 25 engaging the thread 28 of the second screw so that rotation of this screw imparts axial movement to the nut. Preferably the second screw and the nut are made of synthetic resin and are located in overlapping bores in a carrier 21 secured to the support member. The second screw is provided with a slotted spigot 27 to receive a screwdriver but may be rotated through a Bowden cable from inside the vehicle.
