Abstract

1348177 Mounting vehicle headlamps WIPAC DEVELOPMENT Ltd 31 Jan 1973 [4 Feb 1972] 5393/72 Heading F4R A sealed-beam vehicle headlamp is adjustably mounted in a plastics housing 25 which is secured to the bodywork of the vehicle, by two screws 27 in integral nuts 33 of the housing 25. Each screw 27 has two circumferential grooves 29 which are located in clips 30 and 31. A spacing washer 32 is provided between clip 31 and the flange 18 of bezel 16. Alternatively (Fig. 5, not shown) the clip 31 and washer 32 are replaced by a separate unitary clip (31A). Another screw 28 is non-adjustable and engages a friction nut 34. The sealed-beam unit is retained in place by clips 20 secured to the flange 18 by screws 21, the clips 20 bearing against lugs 22 on the rear of the unit.
