1,204,199. Cable joints and terminations. NEDERLANDSCHE KABELFABRIEKEN N.V. 3 Jan., 1968, No. 373/68. Heading H2E. A cable termination or barrier joint incorporating at least one 3-phase high-voltage oilpressure or gas-pressure cable comprises, for each phase, one insulated joint 4 consisting of an insulating pressure tube 15, bevelled at the right-hand end where it is cemented to a sleeve 26 screwed to a connector 12. The pressure medium of the cable extends to the ring 17 where it is sealed and into compartment 7 of a housing (24) where it is sealed from the insulating oil of the joint by a partition 9. Sleeve 26 is bevelled in such a way as to form a smooth continuation of the conical part 14 of the connector 12 so that field concentrations do not arise.
