Abstract
1,204,112. Air heating stoves. COLT HEATING & VENTILATION Ltd. 11 Sept., 1967 [11 June, 1966], No. 26128/66. Heading F4S. In a natural draught, gas fired, air heater air in chambers 16, 16a is heated by hot combustion products in passages 11 and 12 rising from burners situated between walls 11a, 11b, these walls tapering as shown and also branching. Swages 17, 18 provided in the walls of chambers 12 are inclined in opposite directions with respect to each other (Fig. 3) forming baffles and ensuring greater heat exchange. The gas jets are ignited by pilot lights provided in a ladder burner (21, Fig. 2). The upper part of the heat exchanger may be divided into more than two chambers 12. A draught diverter (Fig. 4) is fitted to eliminate the effects of up draught, down draught, and cross draught.
