Abstract
PURPOSE:To distribute fuel and combustion air uniformly and to eliminate dead areas for flame radiation, by branching a plurality of burner outlet portions from a straight barrel of a burner having a multi-tube structure at the portion thereof located on the gas outlet side. CONSTITUTION:A straight barrel portion of a burner is constructed in multi- tube structure consisting of passages 16-19 for supplying combustion air and fuel. At the gas outlet side of the straight barrel portion of the burner, a plurality of gas outlet portions are branched from the straight barrel portion in the manner that they are directed toward corners of a substance 10 to be heated. Further, a gas outlet portion is also formed at the top of the burner outlet portion in the manner that it is directed along the axis of the burner. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to increased the efficiency of heat transfer by flame radiation and to obtain a sufficient combustion time by prolonging the time when fuel gas and combustion air stay inside the substance 10 to be heated.
