Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance energy saving effect by connecting a high-temperature drying furnace and a low-temperature drying furnace through a duct and reusing the waste heat from the former furnace as the heat source for the latter furnace.
CONSTITUTION: A high-temperature combustion gas formed by burners 24 and 25 flows through ducts 26 and 27 and is driven by fans 28 and 29 through ducts 30, 30a, 30b, 31, 31a, and 31b into drying furnaces 21a, 21b, 22a, and 22b. Automobile vehicle bodies are heated and dried in the intermediate-coat drying furnaces 21a and 21b, and the furnace gas is directed through ducts into a dehydration drying furnace 20 for heating the furnace 20 and dehydration heating of the vehicle bodies. The furnace gas from overcoat drying furnaces 22a and 22b is fed to a burner 36 as combustion air for combustion of a fuel 37. Reuse of the heat source enhances energy saving effect.
