Abstract

PURPOSE: To deodorize the solvent produced and make it pollution-free and utilize the heat of solvent combustion as a heating source for drying and baking by incorporating catalysts in the circulation system of the circulation type hot air drying oven and oxidation-burning the solvent generated.
CONSTITUTION: Catalyst mechanisms 17W19 of platinum system or other are incorporated to the discharge or suction side of circulating blowers 7W9, by which the solvent portions are oxidation-burned at relatively low temperatures and is made pollution-free. In addition, the quantity of the heat evolved by the oxidation combustion of the solvent in the catalyst mechanisms 17, 18, 19 in this way is imparted directly or as a substituent for fuel into the exhaust gas flow to be sent to nozzles 11. For the zone where the amount of the solvent produced is large, a transfer blower 20 is provided in place of providing an exhaust blower and the transfer gas by this blower 20 is blown into the zone where the amount of the solvent produced is small. Thereby, the amount of the excess solvent produced is supplied to the suction side (heating furnace 10 portion) of the circulating blower 9 in the latter zone.
