Abstract

PURPOSE:To aim at the economy of burn-out fuel consumption by burning fuel in a combustor for a refining furnace with only exhaust of a gas turbine, and preheating discharge air out of a compressor with exhaust of the refining furnace. CONSTITUTION:Only hot exhaust of a gas turbine 1 is fed to a combustor 8 for a refining furnace and fuel 9 is burned. Exhaust of a continuous refining furnace 4 is fed to a heat exchanger 3 and thereby discharge air out of a compressor 2 is preheated. At the combustor 8 for the refining furnace, gas of the required temperature is speedily secured with little fuel, while air for the combustor 5 is preheated whereby also fuel in the combustor 5 is reduced in quantity. With this constitution, the extent of burn-out fuel consumption can be curtailed.
