Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the fuel unit of the heating furnaces by dividing the heating operation of one furnace to the former period and latter period, preheating the same with the gas of the other furnace, heating the same through combustion of fuel in the latter period and supplying its gas to the other furnaces in the opration of the plural batch type heating furnaces.
CONSTITUTION: An opening E3 is provided between two pits of A and B and burners B1, B2 and exhaust gas outlets E1 and E2 are provided respectively to the both pits. In addition, a recuperator 40 is provided to the exhaust gas path of the both pits and is used for heating air 20 for fuel combustion. When the heating periods of the pits A, B are let former period and latter period respectively, fuel 10 is burnt by the air preheated by the recuperator 40 to heat the material to be heated in the inside to the target temperature, in the pit B. The high temperature exhaust gas thereof is put through the opening part E3 into the pit A to preheat the material to be heated in the inside, after which it is released from the exhaust gas port E1 through the recuperator 40. When the material to be heated in the pit B is taken out and the new material to be heated is put in, the fuel is burnt in the pit A to heat the material to be heated to the target temperature and the material to be heated in the pit A is preheated by the exhaust gas thereof.
