Abstract
119,813. Ljungdell, K. W. Nov. 27, 1917, [Convention date]. Concrete vessels. - In reinforced-concrete ships. lighters, and other structures having a reinforcement of wooden logs or beams, the wooden logs 1. are arranged parallel to each other and are spaced. by wooden blocks so that the concrete filling resembles a series of I- shaped girders with their flanges united but having their webs separated by the wooden logs. Metal reinforcement bars 3 are secured by cramps 5 on one or both sides of the logs 1; wire netting 4 may be used on the outer side instead of moulds, the concrete being applied from the inner side. The edges of the wooden logs are preferably bevelled and their ends also are staggered in adjoining rows.
