Abstract

1,197,082. Opening containers. ASHTON CONTAINERS Ltd. 15 July, 1968 [18 May, 1967], No. 23059/67. Heading B8D. A container comprises a tubular body (17) having a bottom cap 11 formed with at least one outlet flap 10 of an opening for bottom discharge of the contents of the container and a panel 12 which is rupturable by a wire 13 to provide access to the flap. The body (17), the bottom cap 11 and a top cap (18) may be made of corrugated fibreboard and the panel 12 of solid fibreboard. The panel 12 may be secured to a pallet (20) and the container may be provided with a bag (19) of plastics material. The bottom cap 11 may be secured by adhesive to the pallet (20). The container may be collapsible.
