Abstract

907,256. Plastics containers; packages; container closures. PLASTOMATIC CORPORATION. Nov. 9, 1960 [Dec. 30, 1959], No. 38556/60. Classes 66, 94 (1) and 125 (3). A container comprises a body of synthetic plastics material having an integral tear-off bead 11, a re-usable cover 15 and an outer film 20 of plastics film heatsealed both to the cover 15 and the bead 11 after the container is filled. A tab 13 is provided to enable the cover 15 and film 20, together with the bead 11, to be torn off. The space between the cover and outer film may be. used to contain a material separate from the container contents. The container body and cover 15 may be moulded from polypropylene or polythene. The outer film 20 may be a single layer of polythene or polypropylene or a laminate; it may be transparent, and be printed or embossed; and it may be in the form of an annulus, Fig. 8 (not shown).
