As illustrated inFig. 4 , thecontainer 10 is provided with therim 16. Therim 16 comprises aninterior sealing portion 22 for interfacing with the sealingwall 14 of thelid 11. For example, the sealingportion 22 and the sealingwall 14 are substantially level and vertical surfaces. The sealingportion 22 and/or the sealingwall 14 can be resiliently flexible so as to provide a sealing force in a conventional manner. Therim 16 can also comprise anexterior portion 23 forming ashoulder 24 on the exterior side of thetop portion 15 of thecontainer 10. Alternatively, theshoulder 24 can be arranged directly on the outside of thecontainer 10. For example, a top portion of theflange 13 is arranged at substantially the same level as thetop portion 15 of thecontainer 10, wherein theflange 13 is circumferentially enclosed by thetop portion 15 of thecontainer 10. Theflange 13 is arranged at a distance from the interior side of thetop portion 15 or therim 16 in a conventional manner, forming a gap between theflange 13 and the interior side of thecontainer 10. - The
device 12 extends from the outside of thecontainer 10, over therim 16, into the gap between theflange 13 and thetop portion 15 or rim 16 of thecontainer 10 and further into a space under theflange 13 between the bottom surface of theflange 13 and the sealingportion 22 of therim 16, wherein thegrip portion 17 is arranged outside thecontainer 10 and theprotrusion 18 is arranged under theflange 13 of thelid 11. For example, theprotrusion 18 engages the bottom surface of theflange 13. For example, theprotrusion 18 is arranged between the bottom surface of theflange 13 and the sealingportion 22 of therim 16, wherein theprotrusion 18 substantially extends to the sealingwall 14 of thelid 11. Hence, theprotrusion 18 extends in a radial direction towards a centre of thedevice 12 and a centre axis of thecontainer 10. - The
intermediate portion 19 extends from theprotrusion 18, through the gap between the outside of theflange 13 and therim 16 and to thegrip portion 17. Hence, theintermediate portion 19 is arranged between the periphery of theflange 13 and the interior of thetop portion 15 or therim 16 of thecontainer 10. According to the drawings, thegrip portion 17 extends over thetop portion 15 of thecontainer 10 and therim 16 and projects in a radial direction from thecontainer 10, so that it can be gripped by a person. - According to the drawings, the
intermediate portion 19 is provided with thebead 21. Thebead 21 projects from theintermediate portion 19 in a direction parallel to theprotrusion 18 to engage a top surface of theflange 13, forming a snap lock for fastening thedevice 12 to thelid 11. Hence, thebead 21 projects in a radial direction towards a centre axis of thecontainer 10 and towards a centre of thedevice 12. Theprotrusion 18 and thebead 21 engage substantially opposite sides of theflange 13 to fasten thedevice 12 to thelid 11 by means of a snap lock mechanism. Theprotrusion 18 and thebead 21 can be somewhat resilient due to the material of thedevice 12. - According to
Fig. 4 , thegrip portion 17 is provided with aprojection 25 for interfacing with theshoulder 24, so that thegrip portion 17 can be snapped over thetop portion 15 of thecontainer 10 and fastened. Theprojection 25 projects substantially in a radial direction towards the centre of thedevice 12 and towards thecontainer 10 to engage theshoulder 24. Theprojection 25 is arranged under theshoulder 24 to reduce the risk of unintentional movement of thegrip portion 17 upwards and thus reduce the risk of unintentional opening of thelid 11. -
Figs. 4-7 illustrate removal of thelid 11 from thecontainer 10 by means of thedevice 12 according to one example. InFig. 4 thelid 11 is attached to thecontainer 10, wherein thecontainer 10 is sealed by means of thelid 11 and thedevice 12 is connected to thelid 11. For example, thedevice 12 is mounted on thelid 11 before thelid 11 is arranged on thecontainer 10. To remove thelid 11 from thecontainer 10 by means of thedevice 12, thegrip portion 17 is gripped by a person and pulled and turned upwards as illustrated by means of arrow A inFig. 5 . When thegrip portion 17 is pulled upwards and bent or rotated inwards, as illustrated by means of arrow A inFig. 5 , theprojection 25 is disengaged from theshoulder 24. Further, theprotrusion 18 is displaced upwards together with thegrip portion 17, wherein theprotrusion 18 arranged around at least a portion of the bottom side of theflange 13 force thelid 11 upwards. Hence, thelid 11 is forced upwards, wherein the sealingwall 14 is displaced along the sealingportion 22. As illustrated inFig. 5 , the sealingwall 14 comprises anindentation 26 at its lower portion to facilitate the upwards movement of thelid 11. Thelid 11 can also be provided with a bead interfacing with therim 16, which bead not is illustrated in the drawings. Said bead can extend around thelid 11 adjacent theindentation 26, except where thegrip portion 17 is arranged. Hence, said bead is interrupted in the area of thegrip portion 17. When thedevice 12 is further displaced upwards theindentation 26 passes the sealingportion 22 of therim 16, as disclosed inFig. 6 . Thelid 11 with thedevice 12 is completely disengaged from thecontainer 10 inFig. 7 .
