Abstract
1,193,432. Burners. POWRMATIC Ltd. 22 June, 1967 [30 June, 1966], No. 57169/69. Divided out of 1,193,431. Heading F4T. A burner comprising an oxygen supply conduit 81 and a fuel nozzle 12 to discharge fuel transversely to the stream of oxygen or air supplied by the conduit has a plurality of radially directed vanes 30 each of which is inclined at angle to a plane perpendicular to the air stream, the angle being adjustable by rotating the vane. A rod 64 is connected to a bell-crank lever 61 engaging a vane control ring 50 provided with lugs 53 locating the vanes so that longitudinal movement of rod 64 causes rotation of ring 50 to vary the angle of each vane.
