Abstract
1,193,431. Burners. POWRMATIC Ltd. 22 June, 1967 [30 June, 1966], No. 5907/66. Heading F4T. A gaseous fuel burner has a gas supply tube 10 connected to a nozzle 12 comprising a cylindrical sleeve (15) having rings 18, 19 of outlet orifices, the sleeve being closed by a screw threaded disc (20), and a supply tube 80 for air or oxygen has its forward portion 82 axially slidable within a rearward part 83 and controlled by means of a rod 85 and threaded element 87. Radial vanes 30 are mounted about the nozzle 12 on a ring 35 and in a modification are pivotally mounted so as to be simultaneously adjustable by means of a single control. In use, gas is supplied to the nozzle 12 and the capacity of the latter is adjusted by means of the disc 20. On ignition the flame is adjusted by adjustment of the inclination of the vanes 30 and axial adjustment of the tube 82.
