Abstract

1,135,666. Burners. COVENTRY RADIATOR & PRESSWORK CO. Ltd. 31 March, 1967. [1 April, 1966], No. 14431/66. Heading F4T. A burner has a plenum chamber with an air inlet 15 and an air delivery duct 19 provided with radial swirl vanes 26, downstream of which is a conically convergent wall 24 terminating in a central circular outlet 25 coaxial with a gaseous fuel delivery duct 20 having nozzles 22. A tubular member 29 having separate inlets for pilot supplies of air and gas extends coaxially through duct 20 and supports the central electrode (35) of a conventional igniter. Flamedetecting probes 38, 39 are provided, of which rod 39 is supported by an axially adjustable insulated rod (40).
