Abstract
1,187,673. Reciprocating pumps. INSTITUT FUR NAHRUNGSMITTEL, GENUSSMITTELUND VERPACKUNGSMASCHINEN. March 21, 1967, No.13222/67. Heading F1A. A pump for dispensing metered quantities to a plurality of nozzles 4 comprises two rows of cylinders 3 in staggered relationship, each cylinder opening to a rotary valve having passages 18 for connecting the cylinders to the feed 2 or a nozzle 4. The pistons 5 are reciprocated by cranks 7, 8 connected to a lever 12 slidable on a block 13 pivoted on a stroke adjusting block 17 and having a roller 15 engaging a cam 14. The cranks 7 are connected by a bridge 19 to which upper pistons 5 are connected, and the cranks 8 are connected to another bridge 19 to which the lower pistons 5 are connected. Each of the connections between the pistons and bridge is by means of a block Fig.4 adjustable by a screw 23 so that the stroke of individual pistons may be adjusted.
