Abstract

1,185,378. Reciprocating pumps. WALTER HORNLEIN METALLWARENFABRIK. May 8, 1967 [May 11, 1966], No.21314/67. Heading F1A. In apparatus for dispensing chocolate or other pasty material which comprises a reservoir 1 having a plurality of outlets 3, e.g. twelve, connected by rotary three-way valves 4 to respective piston and cylinder assemblies 5, 6 and outlet nozzles 8, the piston 6 of each assembly is reciprocated by individual driving means 9 and its stroke is adjustable by individual means 13 between the piston and its driving means. The driving means may be operated by electric motors. Piston and cylinder assemblies, e.g. hydraulic, may operate the pistons 6. The stroke adjusting means may comprise a stop 12, adjustable by a rotary spindle 14, co-operating with a stop 11 on the piston rod 10 and a scale 17. The driving means for the pistons 6 may be controlled by light sensing elements operated by the condition in the moulds to be filled by the outlet nozzles 8.
