Abstract

1426846 Reciprocating pumps TORKRET GmbH 5 April 1974 [6 April 1973] 15159/74 Heading F1A A pump for pasty materials, e.g. concrete, comprises cylinders 1, 2 with pistons moved alternately on their delivery strokes by liquid e.g. water supplied to the cylinder ends 7 by a pump 11, e.g. of centrifugal type, via a control valve 10, heating elements 16, 18 being provided in a connection 15 between the pump inlet and outlet and/or or connection 17 to one or both cylinders. The pistons are connected by a rope arrangement 6 so that the delivery stroke of one effects the return stroke of the other. A distributing valve 4 controls communication between cylinders 1, 2, a supply hopper 3 and a delivery pipe 5, valves 4 and 10 being controlled by limit switches operated by the pistons.
