Abstract

1321674 Reciprocating pumps BECKER EQUIPMENT AND LIFTS Ltd 3 Sept 1971 [3 Sept 1970] 42299/70 Heading F1A Apparatus for dispensing predetermined quantities of liquids, e.g. for filling containers, comprises a double-acting actuating piston 22 connected to dispensing pistons 20, 21, one of the dispensing cylinders 3 being axially adjustable relative to the actuating cylinder 1 to adjust the piston stroke. The cylinders may be coaxial, as shown, or arranged in parallel with the pistons connected by rack and pinion or linkage. Cylinder 3 is telescopically slidable relative to cylinder 1 and guided by rods 5, movement being effected by rotation of handwheel 8. Compressed air is supplied to actuating cylinder 1 via connections 24. Valves 16 alternately connect the dispensing cylinders to inlets and outlets 17, 18. Projections 25 on the pistons engaged cylinder ports 15 at the ends of the discharge strokes.
