Abstract

1334443 Reciprocating pumps A FERRARI 6 Sept 1971 [10 Sept 1970] 41518/71 Heading F1A [Also in Division B1] Apparatus for proportioning two liquids supplied to a mixing head 1 comprises a doubleacting reciprocating hydraulic motor 10 driving the piston rod 6 of a single acting reciprocating metering pump 3, the rod having a rack 7 which through a gear train 11, 15, 16 actuates a second rack 5 and pump 2. The gear train is mounted upon an adjustable carriage 12 which may be exchanged to alter the pumping ratio. The stroke of the motor is reversed by limit switches 20, 21; switch 21 is, and 20 may be, adjustable to vary the length of stroke. The pump valves 24, 25, 26, 27 may be check valves or be electromagnetically operated by the limit switches.
