Abstract
1,180,521. Incinerators. PENNINE METAL PRODUCTS Ltd. 6 Jan., 1969 [6 Jan., 1968], No. 939/68. Heading F4W. An incinerator comprising a perforated rubbish container 25 mounted within but spaced from a sheet steel housing 10, is provided with a hinged or removable main door 36 in one wall of the housing to allow access to its interior, and a corresponding removable slide cover 42 carried on an unperforated wall of the rubbish container 25 which allows access to its interior. The slide cover 42 is releasably retained in upper and lower channel defining strips 46, 45 surrounding an access aperture 44. A hollow perforated pillar 33 extends up through the container 25. An adjustable air ventilator flap 37 is mounted on the bottom of the main door 36. A tapering hood 15 leading to a chimney 20 is mounted over and around the top of the housing 10 to define air passages 17a through which further combustion air can enter. A hinged rubbish charging door 24 is located in a wall of the hood 15. The incinerator may be mounted on a plinth (not shown).
