Abstract

883,948. Ventilators; skylights. GREENWOOD'S & AIRVAC VENTILATING CO. Ltd., and HUGHES, B. D. Feb. 26, 1960 [Feb. 26, 1959; March 3, 1959], No. 6686/59. Classes 20(3) and 137 A roof ventilator and skylight for a flat roof comprises a box-like member having side walls 6, 7, 8 which support a glazing 11, and a fourth wall 9 which stops short of the glazing to leave a ventilator opening which is weathered by a hood 10 supported by side walls 6, 7. The opening is controlled by a pivoted flap 13. The box-like member is supported on a base 1 fitting over a curb 2 formed around the roof opening. In a modification the roof opening is lined throughout its height and this lining supports the box-like member. Clips 12 formed integral with the walls hold the glazing in place.
