580,329. Ventilators. MELLOWES & CO., Ltd., and BROWN, W. June 30, 1944, No. 12464. [Class 137] A hopper ventilator for use in a window or wall comprises twc spaced apart faces, one of which fills the ventilating aperture in the closed position and which together, in conjunction with fixed or movable side wings form an upwardly directed air inlet duct. As shown, the ventilator is hinged at 10 and comprises two glazed faces 13. 17 and side wings 22 substituted for twc panes of a conventional metal-framed window The face 13 is adapted to fill the ventilating aperture in the closed position and the other face 17 comprises twc parts 20, 21 the top part 20 being vertical when the ventilator is open tc provide a flared upper mouth for the ventilating duct. and effectively closing the top part of the ventilating aperture so as to prevent the entry of rain &c.
