Abstract

441,196. Ventilators. DAVIES, W. M., Blaenblodau Hall, Pencader, Carmarthenshire. June 11, 1934, No. 17184. [Class 137] A ridge ventilator consists of a cover A fitted to the roof ridge over an opening B, a swinging cover C being suspended over the opening, so that a current of air from one side causes the cover C to be tilted to close the opening on the windward side, and creates a suction through the opening on the other side, whereby foul air is removed from the building. The cover C is supported by arms E which are slidable vertically so that the clearance between the opening and the cover may be adjusted, or the opening may be completely closed. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 19159 /97 and 9960/01, [both in Class 103].
