[Class 137] An air extractor comprises a cone having small and large openings 3, 3<a> mounted at the top of an air shaft 5 and provided with a mushroom shaped cap 2. The end of the shaft projects downwards into a lower room or enclosure and ter. minates in another similar conical member 6. Slots 4, which may be arranged vertically, are formed at the top of the shaft to admit-the air which is extracted from the upper room or enclosure, and these slots may be provided with an overlapping collar 16. When used to extract air from one room only the shaft 5 is dispensed with, and the lower part of the cone is flush with the roof opening. Specification 417,739 is referred to.
