Abstract
591,264. Shelters for animals; ventilators. TRAPPENBURG, C. March 5, 1940, No. 4147. [Classes 20 (i) and 137] In a cattle-house or stable combined with a fodder-storage room, the stable 1 is disposed beneath the fodder room 3 and a central shaft 5 down which the fodder may be thrown is provided to connect the two parts, a further shaft formed by a wall 9 being arranged concentrically with the central shaft to form a ventilating passage 10 communicating with the stable through openings 11. The fodder may be discharged into the shaft 5 through normally closed openings 6, and passed into the stable through doors 7. Water condensing in the ventilation shaft may pass through an extension 12 of the passage 10 into a sewer. An inwardlyprojecting lip may be provided above the openings 11. Auxiliary ventilation may be effected by connecting the stable 1 to the central shaft 5 through the doors 7 and openings 16. The wall 9 surrounding the shaft 5 may support the roof 4.
