486,983. Draining and ventilating eyelets for aircraft bodies ventilators. WOODS, L. R. Feb. 25, 1937, No. 5685. [Class 4] [Also in Group X] A draining and ventilating eyelet, Fig. 1, for attachment to surfaces which are to be subjected to rapid movement in air particularly fabriccovered aircraft components, comprises a flat or substantially flat plate or disc 1, preferably of oval shape, with a median opening 2 of corresponding shape, the edge of which is extended to form a hood or well 3 that is externally of streamline shape and is provided with an aperture or slot 4 extending transversely and substantially centrally of the well to meet or nearly meet the eyelet flange. The sides of the aperture may be inclined. The eyelet may be affixed to the fabric in the manner described in Specification 264,923, [Class 4].
