496,451. Corsets. RAYNER, G. March 28, 1938, No. 9443. Convention date, May 11, 1937. [Class 141] A corset 5 is formed at the rear with an opening extending upwardly from the lower edge thereof, the opening being adapted to be closed by a sliding-clasp fastener 8, and transverse elastic bands 12, 13, being secured to the inner wall of the corset to extend across the opening, and reinforce the holding power of the fastener. The lower band 13 is preferably in two parts secured together by hooks and eyes 15, 16, or it may be in one piece having one end secured detachably to the inner wall of the corset.
