Corsets.-A corset comprises a shaped front part a of such a depth as only to enclose the abdomen, and a back part b of normal length and provided with forwardly-extending side-flaps c for the attachment of suspenders. The parts a and b are adjustably attached at the sides, in the form illustrated, by lacing d arranged between the eyeleted rear edges of the part a and eyeleted strips e attached to the back part b. The front part is formed of four parts 1, 1, 2, 2 shaped and joined to produce a concave-convex formation and is attached to the strips e by a protective web underlying the lacing. One side of the front part is provided with an opening closed by hook and eye fastenings i, and laced openings a<2> in its lower edge to permit of adjustment. Stiffening steels b<1> may be employed in the strips e and at the edges of the part a, and also in the back part b.
