449,218. Ventilators. CRAIG, W., Marypark, Langbank, Renfrewshire, and CRAIG, J., Barscube, Paisley Road, Barrhead, Glasgow. Aug. 26, 1935, No. 23834. [Classes 25 and 137] Air is admitted to buildings or ships through a ventilator which comprises a cowl c rotatably mounted on a spindle b, and held into the wind by a vane h. The wind entering the opening d encounters a baffle l pivoted at k and held in an approximately horizontal position by a counter-weight m. This baffle is depressed by excessive wind pressure, and partly closes the opening which is restricted in accordance with the strength of the wind. In modifications, the baffle may be vertically mounted, or placed nearer to one side of the opening than the other.
