Class 137 [Also in Group XIII] A cold storage chamber 1 has a door opening 2 provided With an. external air curtain formed by air drawn in from outside the chamber by a blower 3 and discharged by the blower in a downward direction through a diffuser 6 extending across the widtth of the door and which directs air at an acute angle to the door opening away from the storage chamber. Throttling means may be provided in the mouth of the diffuser and the blower may be energized by opening the door.
