Abstract

1,027,114. Collapsible nursing tents. VICKERS Ltd. March 5, 1965 [April 22, 1964], No. 16762/64. Heading A5R. A collapsible nursing tent comprises a main chamber having flexible air-tight walls and a sealable opening for entry of the patient, with an air lock in a wall of the chamber, being a second chamber of similar material with sealable openings to the atmosphere and the main chamber, the main chamber having an inlet for gas under pressure and an outlet which restricts the outflow of gas so that the tent is maintained in an inflated condition. The tent preferably has two air locks, one in each longer side wall, and other means of access to the patient such as apertures extending into the main chamber by lay-flat open-ended flexible tubes which are kept sealed when not in use by the internal pressure. The walls are preferably transparent, and the sealable openings may be closed by slide fasteners.
