Abstract

662,498. Ventilators. GREENWOOD'S & AIRVAC VENTILATING CO., Ltd., and HUGHES, B. D. April 24, 1950 [July 12, 1949], No. 18373/49. Class 137 A ventilator adapted to be fitted in the glazing aperture of a window comprises a plate element 1 which carries a glazing channel 6 at its lower end and defines together with a cover element 2 a ventilating aperture 7. A pivoted flap valve 13 operated by any suitable means may be provided and either of the apertures of the ventilator may have a wire gauze screen. In a further modification the ventilator may be adapted for fitting in the lower part of the glazing aperture of a window, the glazing channel 6 in this case being provided on the top of the cover element 2
