Abstract

1,066,522. Refuse shoots. BROADS MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. Feb. 3, 1965 [Feb. 3, 1964, No. 4559/64. Heading A4A. [Also in Division E2] Refuse falls into a common vertical shoot from the floor of a building through a door 5 let into the wall. The door carries pivot bar 18 which is dropped into and pivots in open bearings 23, 24 carried by wall frame 4. The latter is connected to the common shoot (not shown) by trunking 1 secured to said frame; and the door carries an inner flap 7 which engages with rubber seal 17 when the door is opened. Additionally frame 4 carries rubber strip 11 to co-act with the door.
