Abstract
1,269,199. Incineraters. JAMES E. BRISCOE (CONTAINERS) Ltd. 8 March, 1971, No. 6277/71. Heading F4W. An incinerater comprises a closed container 1 with a charging lid 3 at the top, and a duct 6 extending across the bottom of the container below a slot 5 in the container bottom and up the back wall of the container to a flue 7 with a cowl 8. The bottom of the container is formed by sloping walls 4, the inner edges of which are spaced from the side walls of the open topped duct 6 to allow unobstructed air entry slots 11. The slot 5 may be partially closed by a grate. The end of the duct 6 has a pivoted normally closed dumper 10 opening under the influence of the flue draught. A hole 9 in the back wall of the container near the top connects the container to the flue duct. A sliding ash door above the end of the duct 6 allows ash to be removed through the door at the duct.
