Abstract

1,130,256. Refuse shoots. BROADS MFG. CO. Ltd. 22 Nov., 1967 [22 Nov., 1966], No. 52283/66. Heading B8S. In the wall of a building the entrance frame. work 2 to a refuse shoot is formed with a semicircular extension 7, 8 fixed to the framework 2. The refuse hopper, formed of walls 5, 6 and two side walls, the whole being pivoted at 4, is provided with a handle 10 so that when open to accept refuse the wall 6 is stopped by the shoulder 9 and, when closed to discharge the material into the refuse shoot, the shoulder 9 is engaged by wall 5. 11 is a counterweight.
