Abstract

551,480. Sampling flour &c. SPEIGHT, J. Aug. 21, 1941, No. 10694. [Class 58] Flour and like material after passing between the rollers 3, 4 falls near to a pivoted board 6 connected by links 7 to the hopper door A. Partial opening of the door draws the board into horizontal guides 9 where it receives a sample of the falling material which is drawn back into a position convenient for examination by complete opening of the door Closure of the door allows the board to fall to a vertical position and discharge the surplus material into the bulk; and also, by engagement with plates 13, tilts into an inclined position a board 10 which diverts the material clear of the sampling board.
