Abstract

1282975 Discharging refuse from hoppers K H SMEDLUND 5 May 1970 [12 Jan 1970] 21482/70 Heading B85 The bottom of a refuse hopper 2 is closed by an arcuate door 7, which is pulled into the closed position when a frame 5 supporting a refuse sack is moved to the position shown in dotted lines to enable a full sack to be removed. The frame 5 is connected to the door by pivoted links and is supported by parallel links 6. Rollers 9 engage the outer surface of the door 7 and hold it in engagement with the hopper. An arresting plate 10 extends across the hopper adjacent the door 7.
