1324122 Sliding closures for hoppers LIAM O'CONNER & CO Ltd 17 Dec 1970 [22 Dec 1969] 60036/70 Heading B8S A closure assembly for a hopper comprises a plate 5, Figs. 1, 4, which is slidable on rods 9 supported in a framework 4 either manually or by a readily detachable hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder 18. The latter, in its supporting framework, is detached by removing bolts 16, 25, when the plate 5 may be moved manually either by a hand-hold 7 or by attaching a rod to lug 8, Fig. 4, after a door 12 has been raised to give access to the lug. Fixed brushes 27, arranged transversely to the plate 5, clean material from the plate as it slides.
