Abstract

1,175,757. Two-part couplings. D. R. FENTIMAN. 2 Nov., 1967, No. 49785/67. Heading H2E. [Also in Division H1] A lamp for insertion in an aperture in a panel from the rear consists of an envelope 4 containing a filament 6 connected to lead-in wires 8 having spring terminal connectors 12 secured thereto and a base of thermoplastic material, Fig. 2 (not shown), moulded to the lamp and having an opening exposing part of the connectors so that these can be bent to contact a printed circuit on the panel on which the lamp is mounted. In moulding the base on to the lamp, the assembly of envelope and connectors is inserted in a mould having a resilient portion to hold the lamp and recesses to leave the upper parts of the connectors uncovered.
