Abstract

1,167,219. Delivering sheets. ROLAND OFFSETMASCHINENFABRIK FABER & SCHLEICHER A.G. 8 Aug., 1967 [12 Aug., 1966], No. 36355/67. Heading B8R. Sheets are normally delivered from a printing-machine by an endless chain conveyer along guide rods 5, Fig. 2, to a first stack (not shown). Selectively, on energization of a magnet 31, the chain grippers release a sheet, which is grasped by grippers 38 on a shaft 39 carried on a drum 6, which transfers it to a second conveyer 7 and on to the pile board 8 of a second stack, against end stops and beneath a guide 55. An auxiliary board 70, Fig. 4, for the first stack, can be introduced above the main pile board on guide rails 71, 72 which can be parted by the actuation of fluid-pressure cylinders 84, 85 to release the board, which is moved vertically by a motor 90 through cables 114, 115. The boards are controlled by electric limit switches.
